Colombian poet selling his testicles to fund trip to Europe

A Colombian poet announced on Wednesday he is selling his testicles for $20,000 to gather money for a European tour. Raffael Medina Brochero, said the money would be used to fund a tour through Europe while presenting “Poetry for Peace in Colombia.”

The poet from the northern department of Magdalena said he will give his testicles to the first person to offer him the desired amount. According to Medina, he made the decision after a bad experience on his 2012 South American tour.

Having travelled through various countries in the continent, Medina found himself broke in Bolivia - something he is trying to prevent while in Europe. In defence of his decision, Medina said that his life was endangered in La Paz, Bolivia; he broke the laws of five different countries on the continent and sold his wedding ring in Peru – everything in order to spread his poetry.

After having been through these experiences, he decided it was necessary to sell his testicles in order to realize his dream and perform “Poetry for Peace in Colombia” in Europe. Brochero has published 11 books during his 35-year career.

That's exactly what I'm looking for! I'd gladly shell out $20,000 for someone's nutsack. Think of all the things I can do with it!

Sadly this reminds me of the "poetry" from the film breaking in:

What would I do with your balls, were they mine? Would I hang them by their shorthairs from my long painted nails? And crack a grin as they dropped, splat splat, on the floor? No, I wouldn't do that with your balls, were they mine. But I'd put them instead in some sort of shrine. I'd fondle them daily, and keep them in line, and give them a licking from time to time. Yes, that's what I'd do with your balls, were they mine.

Anyway.. we don't want someone like that breeding, so let's have a whip-round.

I've just found this quote from SeƱor Medina, where he suggests his testicles could be transplanted into a sterile person or used to make soup.

The testes are immunologically privileged in that you don't get an immune response, so there's a chance you could transplant them without the acquirer ended up having to take anti-rejection meds for the rest of his life.

Fine. But please hold back enough of the proceeds to buy some decent clothes and a new hat. Because... wow.
